Opioids, created by Chris Marcellino MD and Norris Vivatrat MD, is a comprehensive opioid analgesic dosage conversion calculator specially designed for proficient medical professionals. The application facilitates seamless conversion between commonly prescribed opioids in U.S. hospital settings, available for oral, parenteral, or transdermal administration, including morphine, codeine, hydromorphone, hydrocodone, fentanyl, methadone, oxycodone, and oxymorphone. Its primary objective is to assist and educate professionals in navigating the complex process of opioid regimen conversions.

To provide feedback or seek assistance, users can utilize the support link available within the app. However, please note that being a free academic tool, there are limitations in addressing new feature requests due to resource constraints.

The opioid equipotency data utilized in the application are primarily sourced from CAPC conversion values except where explicitly mentioned (refer to the reference tab within the app). The CAPC values align with those published in the Center to Advance Palliative Care's "Prescribing Opioids: A Reference Guide" syllabus, adapted from McPherson ML's work "Demystifying Opioid Conversion Calculations: A Guide for Effective Dosing," 2nd ed., by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists in Bethesda, Maryland (2018). EPEC values are derived from the EPEC-O Participants Handbook from 2005.
